The Day After

Well, if the early morning (2 a.m.) screaming wasn't evidence enough, the crushed plastic tubs used for Jello shots on Main Street's west sidewalk (between Michigan and Broadway) were the last bit of evidence that CMU classes are about to start.

I know the retailers love the students, but I could personally do without the trail of empty plastic cups in the yards along a block of Pine Street, or the smashed-up Corona bottle at the mouth of one of the city's downtown parking lots.
